I have a mix I made of Layton + Ingenious Ginger, and a bit of Naxos that's nice. I call it Layton X, a more gormound but not overly sweet Layton I guess. Apple pie, ginger, vanilla, honey, tobacco, spice. I was just playing around with my 20/30ml Layton decant after getting a full bottle. It's not too sweet so not really gormound, but more desert like than Layton. I don't like Layton Exclusif at all so I may try something similar with that decant.”

It's also the only fragrance in my collection that consistently gets me compliments. Layton is still hard to beat for dates and evening wear, while Vibrato is louder, fresher and more playful.”

I've been wearing it for a few years now and I get more compliments on it than most of my expensive stuff. I've been so happy with detour I've never even considered trying the others. Could be an everyday fragrance as well, very versatile. I got mine for $30 so if you can get anything near that it's definitely worth it”

It has a weird niche smell that only niche scents have. These will smell more unique, so less mass appealing, but people either really like them or it's not their thing”

Surprisingly my Layton has not been performing well, previously when I had tested it, it worked well on my skin so i'm just hoping it needs a bit of macerating.”

Layton unfortunately does not project that well but they all last, even Herod, probably because it's an older batch. Carlisle is my favorite dark scent ever, so luxurious and rich. Layton is great, cosy and easy to wear.”
