5/5 Sweetness

“Hi all, I was on a stag a while back, and came across a scent that blew me away. It was strong, like Sauvage Elixir levels where i was outside and it hit me from nowhere strong. The best way to describe it was sweet, spice and a like a delicate smoke added. The closest thing in my collection to it would be Stonger with you intensely with the musk toned down slightly, but everything else dialed up and maybe a berry/grape like note in there as well. My apologies if this doesn't help much. I've come across this scent twice and it's stuck with me.”

“Absolute aphrodisiac is an utter masterpiece (ignore the atomizer lol). I smelled it and instantly fell in love, bought it the next day. Still one of my favorites In my collection tbh. ASCE reminds me a lot of Dior sauvage elixir but yeah also one of my very few and favorite clones. Super awesome collection!”

4/5 Synthetic / harsh

“I don't know if it's just me, but I've tried to like Sauvage Elixir and Extrait both, and I just cannot get into it at all lol. Like it honestly smells bad to me. I wanted to like it bc my dad wears Elixir quite often, but it smells too spicy and synthetic to me”

“I bought it in my initial days , when I started this journey but I am happy with it it's not much complicated but just simply pineapple dominant with saffron, sometimes I use it as a stand alone perfume but I have a combo for it, I layer it with any dior sauvage elixir dna ,I have Asad but use wild stone Pyro as sauvage elixir alternate because asad is just too strong for fursan”

“That's a solid lineup. The Dior Sauvage Elixir placement front and center makes sense, and the blue bottle next to it has good visual balance with all the black. Couple questions though: how's the rotation working with this many, or are some just backups? I've got maybe half this many and already find myself wearing three on repeat while the rest sit. Also curious if you're chasing specific scent profiles or just grabbing what appeals in the moment, because I'm seeing some pretty different vibes here and wonder if there's a strategy or if it's more organic collection creep.”

“Yeah, the craziest part for me is that the search and spending time looking and reading up on fragrances is much more exciting than getting the bottle . Once the bottle arrives I'm happy for like 30 minutes , enjoy the smell , and then the dopamine is gone , and the cycle repeats. I think the only frags that put a smile on my face every time I wear em are BR540 extrait ( I know I'm a basic bitch but I can't help it ) and Sauvage Elixir.”

“I hadn't heard much of the discourse online about it. Just heard it was coming out, saw it, tried it and Sauvage Elixir on skin to compare them, and bought it. Considering I got it 15% below retail, I'm happy with it”

“Explorer is more in line with Aventus and Extreme is supposed to be a similar vibe to Absolu Aventus/Sauvage Elixir, so it's definitely darker and better for cool weather. But I have heard good things about it.”

4/5 Winter

“Yeah, or just cooler days in general. Just to save myself some typing here's a channel that I like. Will explain a lot! https://youtube.com/@fitsbystick?si=o7qpTckB5p7YsmY6 The mega fragrance guide video would be a good place to start! I think Sauvage Elixir is a great pickup! I'm still looking to get it one of these days, but I have a bunch of winter scents, and I'd only use elixir once in a while. There is just more appropriate times for certain fragrances. I'd throw elixir in the special event / cold nights category. Hope this helps brother!”

“BDC Parfum's longevity is as good as Sauvage Elixir on my skin. I've tried Superleggera, it's really a great scent but I think it's far from being a signature scent.”

3/5 Synthetic / harsh

“I like mine alot, but after macerating for some time its not too similar to the OG, it's missing the licorice note, and I actually find it less harsh than Sauvage Elixir, but I find performance slightly less than Sauvage Elixir as well, still a solid performer though, especially for the money. Honestly, I like 3 of the Asads, I own the Elixir and Bourbon as well, but Ive never bothered with Zanzibar.”

2/5 Projection

“I had the same experience when I bought the bottle on Amazon. It was very, very weak. It was almost a skin scent within 5 minutes or so. You should definitely check the authenticity of the perfume. I think designers don't need too much maceration. I actually decluttered my bottle. You should get the Hubbas Gold Digger if you really want great projection. I think Middle Eastern is the way to go. You cannot rely on designers for performance, barring a few products such as Dior Sauvage Elixir.”

“I own two 10ml miniatures of Patou Pour Homme that i got for a cheap price. I agree about it being anticlimactic. It's a nice aromatic fougere, but it's not terribly unique. I sometimes think about it as the Sauvage Elixir of its time. Not in terms of quality but in terms that they're both an amalgamation of an already popular genre in their time.”

“I have a couple of Zimayas and although they might not quite be the quality compared to the OGs, but they have all been pretty good. I have Zukhruf Black (Sauvage Elixir) and its good but def not as high of quality. The only one surprised me was Siada Regal (god of fire). The red berries and mango smell like the frozen medley with both.”

“Get the collector's edition if you want compliments, atleast 1 every time I wear that. It's pretty hot here so I don't like wearing night out that much because it's sweet and gets cloying in high heat but it's also good lasts long. I'm waiting for winters to try that out more. On a side note, ighraa by Ahmed al maghribi is insane as well. I got it yesterday and got two compliments today. Also beast mode. If you like the sauvage elixir DNA this is incredible for the price.”
