What Reddit owners say

5/5 Date night

“Dylan Blue as I wore that on our first few dates and every special date thereafter which is why it became her favourite scent of mine. We broke up due to distance and we're both still single lol which is why there wouldn't be any tension or awkwardness if I did see her”

“It is a very nice fragrance; you can use it almost any time and anywhere and it performs well. Before your next purchase, I would recommend jumping online and checking reputable discounter sites. Most have 100ml testers (same fragrance, just packaged in a plain white box) of Dylan Blue for around $50 shipped. If you love it, I'd recommend going that route if you want to pick up a second bottle at some point.”

2/5 Synthetic / harsh

“The perfume or DNA that I grew to dislike is Dylan Blue, it could kinda apply to all that type of "ambroxan bomb showergel" type of perfumes, I used to love Dylan Blue, but after the first 3-4 hours the smell became just too boring for me, although I love most of the notes it declares, the thing is when Ambroxan finally takes over the aroma, it becomes REALLY boring, add that to the fact that it's sort of a very "mature" aroma and I just didn't like it as much. Seems like my taste has shifted from mature to juvenile.”

“When I smelt them I wasn't a huge fan of 67 or X. Especially for the price point. There's a lot of competition and they just dont' stand out enough. Why get 67 when you can get Dylan Blue? Yes Dylan Blue is hyped, and I'll get downvoted by the snobs who pretend its not good, but it gets hyped for a reason and VERY easy to find discounted. But, this is only my view/it might be easier for you to get them discounted than for me. But also I have a 50+ bottle strong collection... So, not much \*STANDS OUT\* for me anymore.”

“Usually I buy testers so its cheaper for me but I'm already on my third bottle and that too is basically empty I'm thinking I might buy a fourth, it's simply a good smelling dumb reach that projects well for an EDT And lasts a while, on me ”

“Similar in concept to Coach for Men, Bleu de Chanel, and Versace Dylan Blue. I really like all three of those and for whatever reason my wife loves Jimmy Choo, so what the heck it's cheap. Into the base we get a deeper blue which why people think of Dylan Blue probably; it's warm, smooth powdery tonka bean and dark patchouli, but it wasn't super incensy. I believe this is the best of the Jimmy Choo men's line from what I've sampled.”

“If you like D&G Light Blue Pour Homme, I'd check out Acqua di Giò Profondo and Versace Dylan Blue. I own both, and they're still very easy to wear but give you a bit of variety: * Dylan Blue if you want something a little darker and more versatile while still being fresh and easy to like. They're both pretty common in fragrance stores, so I'd probably just try them on skin in person rather than hunting down samples.”

“Animalic musks smell like wet fur to me. So gross, things like Zino Davidoff, even old spice I absolutely hate. The patchouli in Dylan blue smells like damp earth to me and just gives me a sense of dirtiness I cannot stand (and bought a 200ml bottle on sale) Leather notes that smell like Burnt rubber like in Bvlgari Black I can't stand either. I have 3 clones of escentric 02, Zimaya monopoly 002, Monocline 01, FW Esscentric Moolecules 02, can't stand Zimaya, literally smells like cumin/ curry to me”

“Dylan Blue is such a solid pick, I blind bought it years ago and it became my daily driver for months. The bergamot opening really got me, smells like a clean summer morning in a bottle. Just go easy on the sprays though, this one projects way more than you'd expect from an EDT. Longevity is solid too, I usually get a full work day out of it without reapplying. How long did you sit with it in Sephora before deciding? Also nice timing on the 42% off, I paid almost double back in the day.”

“Best is subjective brother. Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir EdP can be found for around $50, Michael Malul Oxford Row and South Slop can be found at TJ Maxx for $29.99 each, Ahmed Al Mighribi - Kaaf $35-$45, Dylan Blue $55 ish, Afnan Surpremacy CE about $40-$50. There's a ton more but here's a few I own and like in that range.”

Just got my dylan blue 3 days ago and it's authentic, tested it and thought I got duped or something (because like you, I couldn't smell it on me) but the bottle smells awesome. So tried it again in the morning and i did smell it but not as strong as I thought?..but I know it's good so blaming NOSEBLIND lol. I do smell it on clothes next day if a hold shirt to my nose.”

“I second the idea you don't need to switch your frags so much as the supplier. Jomashop has done me well. Getting a bottle from Perfume HQ and hoping that they are as good as they sound. Watching sales with gray market retailers is how I've amassed my collection. Just saw Dylan Blue for $45 on Joma, got a backup for myself.”

“I picked up the Dylan Blue because ppl said it smelled like Clinique Chemistry. I loved every stage of that scent. But the Dylan Blue hits the right notes on the dry down and on my clothes late into the evening. 67 had too much "juiciness" at the initial spray. I literally want to smell like my grandfather leaving the barber! Lol”

“Yes, it's good, the other day my dad had his birthday so I took a dozen of designer samples with me to his place, most of them were more expensive. Well, long story short he ended up choosing Dylan Blue. I strongly suggest you smell 'Eau fraiche' (the bottle next to Dylan bleu on the photo) aswel. It's a favorite summer/spring scent of me and my wife always compliments me when I wear it.”
