You mentioned musky scent that's also present in some of the popular perfumes… I'm intrigued to buy the discovery set from his website to try this out. I do loathe some type of musk that dries down from The Body Shop White Musk or MM Lazy Sunday Morning for instance. I hope MFK doesn't use that musk scaffold.”

I'd recommend Lazy Sunday Morning by Replica as an alternative, but would absolutely recommend you test Lilyphea out before buying. I thought I'd be able to guess what it would smell like based on my experience with similar notes, but it surprised me by playing completely differently on my skin. It's very pretty, but I was expecting a watery violet leaf as opposed to a sweet green vanilla. 😅😂”

It's become enough of a workplace issue that some companies have introduced policies or guidance around strong scents. But yes, you're right. Maison Margiela's Lazy Sunday Morning is insanely popular in Japan. I have to imagine the Japanese have a similar affinity for clean musks, but are perhaps more conservative in how heavily they wear them compared to Americans.”

I just bought Musk 07 by Swiss Arabian and it's the cleanest fragrance I've ever smelled. It leans more feminine, opening with a gentle rose, but ultimately gives me original Dove bar soap like you just stepped out of an everything shower. It's STRONG too. I'm usually an oversprayer but this is the type of fragrance where I spray it in front of me and walk through it and I can still smell it on myself 12 hours later.”
