“I used to have it and I've also smelled Elixir in Sephora. Asad has that coca cola smell to it and that i can't just ignore. Also it has that middle Eastern vibe/spice to it that just don't work for elixir. It just smells cheap. I've had Cheapies and currently have Asrar Rey that i lovee, don't care about the prices but Asad just shows it too much”

“People are pissed of by the fact that 25€ dupes gets most compliments than 250€ niche fragrance. I'm agree that there are bad dupes but there are also many dupes that outperforme designer or even niche fragrance. For what I have tested I can assure you that Hectic, Asad Bourbon, Asad gets a lot of compliments and I personaly do love their smell”

“I bought it in my initial days , when I started this journey but I am happy with it it's not much complicated but just simply pineapple dominant with saffron, sometimes I use it as a stand alone perfume but I have a combo for it, I layer it with any dior sauvage elixir dna ,I have Asad but use wild stone Pyro as sauvage elixir alternate because asad is just too strong for fursan”

“lattafa asad and qaed al fursan is bought secondhand, maybe that's why the funk is gone? the other one i bought at store & never checked the batch code, probably fresh from the factory too.”

1/5 SweetnessValue

“Same issue with me, there's a very common fruity vanilla hit in the first few minutes just a turn off for me this is for - Hawas ICE(worst of all I tried), supremacy CE(Opening is bad sweet, it gets much better in the dry down), Lattafa Asad - opening again is very sweet dense vanillaisc, it gets warmer in the dry down. All of them has a very similar and familiar sweet opening which feels cheap.”

2/5 Synthetic / harshBatches & reformulation

“Could've been something that's been reformulated. But I have the same opinion. I bought Lattafa Asad based on hyped reviews and I can't wear the stuff. It smells like what I imagine pepper spray smells like, mixed with a little bit of Drakkar Noir and glow stick juice, which is the only thing I can think of to describe that nasty chemical burnt plastic smell.”

“Could be. Or maybe you looked it before it matured, and just like it me after. For example, my wife liked Asad on me better because it matured, and I tested both options at the same time (did a quick maturation process using a decant bottle).”

“i have Ramza silver, asad, khamrah dukhan, ra'ed intensely, and king of arabia. i love them all except king of arabia. Asad smells great but no idea if it smells like sauvage. Wife and i went to ulta to test some things out and i smelled prada paradigm and it smelled great and i tried ra'ed intensely and it seemed to smell the same but im so new to this i could totally just be giving confirmation bias.”

“I have to say that the Lattafa Asad bottle I got was almost in the trash before it sat for 30 days. The scent completely changed fromthe first day. It is now a wearable fragrance that I enjoy. I don't seem to have this issue with run of the mill designers. The only one I've had this happen with is Oscar De La Renta Gentleman and it needed to calm way the f down.”

“I blind bought Latafa's Asad from Burlington and really liked it. Someone on here highly encouraged me to try Sauvage Elixir if I liked Asad, since that's obviously what it's duping, that commenter mentioned the pronounced difference in quality between the two as to why I should def check out the original. Last month I was at an Ulta with the whole line on display and I was able to try them all and yep… I get why it's the most popular men's fragrance line.”
