Not listed: The usually-forgotten Hypnotic Poison Eau Secrète, which is a lighter version of Hypnotic Poison with a different set of notes in the top (Eau Secrète has citrus, the original has the fruits and coconut). There's also Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle, which is the only one I haven't tested.”

The scent of hypnotic poison actually grew on me and by the time I bought poison girl, I was disappointed and passed it off as a gift to a now former friend.”

5/5 Batches & reformulation“Hypnotic Poison edt is a shadow of what it once was. The new version is literally like a dollar store Inspired by. I can barely smell it. I tried out the EDP thinking maybe it would get closer to what I wanted, but again I could barely smell it. I want a sexy, powdery, spicy almond dammit! I don't usually like powdery scents, but it used to be dark and mysterious and freaking PERFECT. I've been thinking that maybe they reformulated with something I'm anosmic too. Maybe someone smarter than me can chime in?”

5/5“I have 5 full bottles: Dior - Hypnotic Poison 50ml (gift), CH - Good Girl (gift), and Phlur - Father Figure (smell is gone quicker than a fart in the wind, but it's my favourite fragrance, so the bottle is out of necessity), M+G - Strawberry (came in a calendar), Ded Cool - 01 (came in a calendar). I only ever buy minis or travel sizes.”

I love their compositions and they all smell amazing on paper strips, but never work on me 😭 Oddly enough, Dune and Dolce Vita were my go-to scents in my youth and they never felt this way.”

5/5“You need the OG Dior Hypnotic Poison eau de toilette, not the parfum. The lovely warm red bottle. Even though it's an EDT it last for days. My favourite. Have never found a better almond perfume. I have just ordered Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Tonka, which is meant to be incredible. I found this thread because I'm always searching for new almond perfumes.”

It's got a similar almond note to Hypnotic Poison, and it lasts a really long time. 2. You might also like Memo Flam. It has a similar jasmine to Alien, but I think Flam is more friendly for warm weather than Alien is.”
