What Reddit owners say
5/5 Projection“On my neck I spray Absolu Aventus for excellent sillage and announcement.”
3/5 ProjectionBatches & reformulation“Funny you post this now, I recently bought a bottle of Aventus from Sam's Club last week - it's apparently “f batch”.”
3/5 Longevity“Whenever aventus (or Irish weed for that matter) is on turn, I often get disappointed, but because of extremely poor longevity, I can put a new one in an hour”
2/5“But the dry down is pretty solid if you like Aventus. I bought it and hated it and thought Aventus has to be better. Then I bought Aventus and hated it for the same reasons. They both just smell like bitter lemons with shitty driftwood to me.”
4/5 Office“I use Grey vetiver and aventus to office. People barely care 😅. But i feel good whenever i ger whiffs.”

2/5 UniqueBatches & reformulation“I bought Aventus from them a couple years ago and it was one of the super weak batches.”
5/5 SweetnessSummer“CREED Absolu Aventus”
5/5“So now I don't even know if he was *actually* wearing Aventus. I have quite a few bottles now and it's still her favorite.”
5/5 Longevity“Aventus. It's a classic for a reason. It lasts all day on me. I love it as a daily”
4/5 LongevitySynthetic / harsh“I agree. Maison asrar is incredibly close. On me it lasts way longer than absolu aventus. I really like SCE as well. It's a little more synthetic in the opening but once it calms down it smells fantastic and lasts forever.”
4/5 Value“A lot of people compare it to Absolu Aventus, but it's much more two dimensional imo.”
5/5“Aventus started this whole thing back in the day, so that has to be included even if its no longer my daily.”
5/5 Fresh & clean“I'm wearing Gris Charnel LAYERED WITH Aventus AND fucking Pi!”
4/5 Synthetic / harshUnique“I'm not trying to convince anyone that they should like it, that's what's amazing about this hobby, all of our taste are different, I'm merely saying I believe 540 gets a VERY bad wrap much like Aventus as two of the most popular duped scen”
5/5 Value“I think it's a take on Aventus maybe?”
5/5 UniqueBatches & reformulation“I love Aventus.”
5/5 Office“The funny thing I cannot tell the difference between any Aventus DNA fragrance and I've tried over 250 fragrances. Blockade, CDNIM, Explorer (opening), Actual Aventus, Office for Men By far the best rendition for me was Office for Men and Explorer.”
4/5“I'm not even a particular fan of Aventus and I like it. Very good all purpose scent, performance could be better but maturation seems to have improved my bottle. I feel like it's the type of fragrance that is almost impossible to actually dislike.”
2/5“this. I have avenues but I think it's super overrated. So many better Creed options. Aventus comes in like 6th place tops in the Creed line up”
4/5“Good for you for sampling. My advice is not to throw it out. I've had plenty of bad first impressions from fragrances that I ended up loving. Give it another shot in a few days. Aventus is not one of my favorites, but it definitely ain't lettuce lol”
4/5 UniqueSummer“For me if I were to downsize to 2 I'd go Sedley and Ombré Leather or Imagination and Absolu Aventus. But as it stands I enjoy being able to have a different scent for each day of the week so 14-16(7-8 winter and 7-8 summer) is the size I'll keep my collection.”
4/5 Fresh & clean“https://preview.redd.it/t5ns75impanh1.jpeg?width=2592&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=57ce358869772a71d75f3798e4a19d085ddcc05a Creed Absolu Aventus for SOTD today. Rain and thunderstorms today, so I wanted something darker and richer than a typical fresh Aventus-style scent. The grapefruit still keeps it bright, but the ginger, cinnamon, patchouli, vetiver and oakmoss give it much more depth and weight. I like that it keeps the Aventus DNA recognisable while feeling spicier and more substantial.”
4/5“Im wearing absolu aventus right now. Worth it.”
4/5“Completely agree, I bought into the clone hype when I first started collecting and now I've been slowly giving them all away. The only clone I've been really impressed with is CDNIM Limited Edition Parfum. I smelled Aventus recently and my first thought was “wow, my clone is super close.””
4/5“Aventus is an all time great and Absolu is at least as good. But I don't know if its hundreds of dollars better. I'm happy I have Aventus but if I didn't have an actual bottle im not sure I would miss it either. If Creed pulled an amouage and released a 45 or 50 percent extrait version of each of their scents i think many people would buy it.”
5/5 Value“> smell like you dumped a glass of pineapple juice on yourself-and that fragrance costs a weekly paycheck-so tomorrow you smell like you've been baking pineapples all night? Pretty sure this was a dig at Aventus at first (I'm all for shade, I'm anti-anything $300+ perfume. I bought a decant, it's fine. It's not 300+ amazing…) Not sure where the baked pineapples came into play.”
1/5 Synthetic / harshHeadaches“I can't stand plenty of popular scents for the reasons mentioned).......CDNIM is so screech for the first half hour i get a massive headache for something that is an approximation of Aventus....That's a non starter for me. If i have to weather offensive chemical openings, get a headache, then smell kind of like X I'll probably just pass.”
5/5“I've been complimented on Meteore a few times, Blue Sapphire, Oajan, Clive Christian Cypress, Speed Legends, Pacific Chill, Absolu Aventus and a few others.”
5/5 Value“Creed is crazy over priced - I still love Aventus and Absolu - but I don't think they're cutting corners by not macerating before shipping.”
5/5 Compliments“I've been using Aventus for over the last 5 years and get many compliments on it.”
3/5“I disliked it enough that it convinced me to stop blind buying. It doesn't smell bad or anything, I actually like it better than aventus but I've come to find I don't care for the DNA and also the performance is awful or more likely I'm nose blind to it. I can only smell it for like 2 hours. I wear frags for myself and no one else so the fact that I can't smell it (even though ive gotten compliments when I can't smell it) means I won't wear it again. I'll just give my bottle to my brother or something.”
5/5 Unique“I loved Aventus after first trying it earlier this year.”
5/5 UniqueOffice“I gave the one office lady a decant of Clinique Happy, last week, and she seemed pretty happy, and I also showed my coworkers my decant of Bond No 9 Nomad and Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim and PDM Perseus, and I brought in my decant of Creed”
2/5 Value“I went and tried out Creed Aventus today to see what the hype on the internet is all about and I was in for a shock as my nose interpreted it as a really sour note, I hated it(my opinion only).”
4/5 Mass appealSummer“Gonna exclude musk therapy, because I have not owned it. For everyday I'm personally doing blue tali edp followed by the two byredos. I like my everyday scents airer and light. That being said, absolu aventus is the most versatile, masculine and probably mass appealing. It would probably be my, my pick in a “one bottle” collection from the bunch. I think it and blue tali extrait wear a bit heavier but are much better at being dressed up. But still doable for everyday. I don't like wearing these on super hot days. Blue tali extrait has best performance on me personally.”
4/5 SummerDate night“This strange wood-oil sort of smell that I think some people fine medicinal, but grew on me and is why it is quite distinct from Aventus and others in the class.”
2/5 LongevitySweetness“I think one of the selling points for Supremacy, Aventus, or Aventus-inspired fragrance is the dry down that you described.”
5/5 ProjectionUnique“I tested Bujairami Kingsman vs Aventus a few days again and there was a stark contrast between the two.”
5/5 Projection“You may be going nose blind to it as it's an Aventus adjacent fragrance and has notes of ambergris in it along with oakmoss and musk so it's very easy to go nose blind and think you're not getting any projection but I guarantee you people a”
2/5 UniqueValue“Man…SCE and Vintage Radio are hard passes for me. SCE smells screechy and cheap - nothing like Absolu Aventus. I get it's a “twist” but to me it's barely related. I have smelled it out of 3 different bottles including a decant that is now 3 months old. They all smell the same to me and it's not good. VR I had to scrub off. I hated it. I let it mature for 6 months and it it still awful. This one might be a skin chemistry issue. It smells good in the air but on my skin it's a train wreck.”
