What Reddit owners say
5/5 Value“Coco Mademoiselle was my first perfume when I overcame homelessness and finding myself as a gay man!”
2/5“Know exactly what you mean. I got a sample of Coco Mademoiselle, and all I could smell was “PERFUME!” Like, not even individual notes, just a generic “perfume” smell.”
3/5 Value“Atp I don't even trust most perfumes vs. body mists. I feel like they got us all so used to body mists that now perfumes are just as unsaturated. And the body mists are even less saturated than before. I think they just wanna water it all down as much as possible. I'd rather just drench myself in the cheap body mists than waste $400 on a glass bottle of “good body mist”. Especially the big brands. I wore Coco Mademoiselle for years and I'll never buy it again because it's so weak now. :(”
4/5“I've had men really like Coco Mademoiselle and Burberry Goddess. I'm about to purchase Victoria Secret Bombshell Intense because I think it's seductive and sexy but I've been wrong before 😂”
5/5 Value“Yep. I used to buy 100 ml bottles because the price per ml is better. Now I have 30+ bottles and will never use them all, so I only buy the smallest sizes. At this moment the fragrance with TINIEST possibility of being used up is a 35 ml of Coco Mademoiselle EDP. I've had it for several years and last year it became my favourite so I use it almost daily. The bottle is still like 60% full lol”

2/5“I also had a Chanel coco mademoiselle sample for over 13 years and I tried to use it yesterday and it was sour.”
1/5 HeadachesOffice“Depends on an office abd how much space you have. If your office is crowded, take into account that there will be a lot of perfumes mixing and the mixture could be impossible to stand. I used to work in an office when several women which whom I sat with in one room wore Coco mademoiselle, libre etc etc. It was 5+ strong perfumes and the effect was a headache”
5/5“Thank you! I would really love to do Guerlain as an Iris lover, but unfortunately I live in Ottawa we lost all our fragrance counters since Nordstrom and the Bay are gone. I have to rely on what's available near me if I don't want to have to spend my money on samples. Same thing with Hermes. Chanel is about to release a new Coco mademoiselle flanker in two weeks. I can go explore the range and go spray them after work after my vacation. Doing these lines exploration is fun, it's a good way to appreciate fragrance without spending money.”
2/5“The only one I've found that doesn't smell good on me is coco mademoiselle, smells sour on me and it's a lovely scent so it's sad but it is what it is, this was many many years ago tho so maybe I'll give it another chance in case it was my own bottle that was bad.”
4/5“I feel like Coco Mademoiselle was made for my skin. It smells great in the bottle, but on me? Goddamn, I smell good!”
5/5“Another vote for Coco Mademoiselle, I feel so fancy wearing it and it just smells divine”
5/5 SweetnessFall“I've only ever tried/owned Coco Mademoiselle and just wanted to note that it's a lovely fragrance to carry over into autumn if you're not quite ready to pack it away. As a matter of fact, I've been wearing it for 20 years and it's been exclusively worn in cooler weather. The earthy patchouli , sweet Tonka bean, and warm orange blossom really shine and leave amazing silage when the air is crisp.”
5/5“I got mine off Mercari too! Great advice here. Just make sure you get it from people clearly decluttering their collections- stay away from sellers posting multiple bottles of the same thing. Agree that it's a stunning fragrance, Chanel is so good in general but Coco Mademoiselle is very very special.”
5/5“I can't possibly pick a favorite, but I have repurchased their Coco Mademoiselle and Angel dupes.”
5/5“I love my Les Exclusifs (favorites being Coromandel, 1957, Cométe, No 22, Jersey, Bois des Iles and Gardenia). I'm learning to love Le Lion haha. I find that they last a long time and the projection is just right for me. These fragrances do not announce themselves, rather, they subtly make their presence known. I also love Coco Mademoiselle (regular and intense). I think they are great fragrances and I wear mine a lot.”
4/5 Everyday“I don't associate Coco Mademoiselle with any age groups, but there are five versions of it (EDT, EDP, Intense, Crush Absolu, and L'Eau Privée) so I'd highly recommend trying them all if you can. The EDP has been my signature since its release, but I really like the Intense version right now.”
5/5“I'm a man, and I wore the new Coco Mademoiselle last week. I love it, personally.”
5/5 Everyday“I see some of my favorite babies there! I can never tell which Chloe is in pictures, but I adore Chloe Nomade Jasmin Naturel? The tester? I have a couple bottles of Roses de Chloe and it top 10 for me for sure. Which Guerlain Extrait is that? I can't tell/place it in their inventory. Coco Mademoiselle and Soilel Blanc- great classy choices that I feel like are the my collections backbone- they are flashy or new but they're versatile and dependable.”
4/5“Coco Mademoiselle EDP Intense is another fave. I have a sample I enjoy but it hasn't captured my attention beyond an occasional test.”
5/5“I wore Coco Mademoiselle. I layered with the shower gel, powder, lotion, a bit of oil (I couldn't afford much of the oil LOL) and the fragrance. I was pregnant with our second, and my husband told me I smelled amazing that whole weekend. And so did everyone else who got next to me.”
4/5 SweetnessFresh & clean“Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel gets the most genuine compliments whenever I wear it. It smells fresh, slightly sweet, and very put together without feeling heavy.”
4/5“Coco mademoiselle. It smells so good on everyone else but on me it smells like a used cat litter box.”
5/5 Fresh & clean“This is my absolute favorite in the mens collection, I wear coco mademoiselle and coco noir and allure homme sport has an incredibly clean scent with an edge because of the patchouli, my ex wore this and he always smelled incredible!”
3/5“Some say individual skin chemistry is the reason behind this. I'm not quite sure what it could be but, yes, some fragrances smell great on some people not so great on others. Coco Mademoiselle smells normal on other people but on me not so much.”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“My husband hates anything I wear that isn't Coco Mademoiselle (because that's what I was wearing when we met). I have so many fragrance samples and he bitches about every single one, especially the niche ones. Except Harvest Mouse. He said I smelled like a VR headset and kept leaning in for a sniff. I took that as a win and ordered a travel spray!”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“I know this is one of the most popular fragrances, but to me Chanel Coco Mademoiselle smells like a poopy diaper pail with some sort of air freshener designed to cover up poop smell but doesn't quite get the job done, mixed with a little tooth decay/tonsil stone smell. And it's not just the fragrance itself, or just on me, that is what I smell on anyone who wears it, I think to myself “did they just change a poopy diaper?”.”
Not rated (no clear sentiment) Value“Coco Mademoiselle, every time I wear I get told I smell expensive”
Not rated (no clear sentiment) ValueEveryday“I have many expensive fragrances and Coco Mademoiselle is still the one I reach for when I want to smell expensive. I think it's because it was my aunts signature scent and she was the classiest person I knew”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“I wear Chanel no.5, Ysl Opium, Coco Mademoiselle, and Youth Dew to name a few. I don't care what anyone else thinks lol.”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“I wore coco mademoiselle in highschool. You're fine”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“Coco mademoiselle I'm not a fan of any of the notes but I like that perfume on me, so weird”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“My real fragrance journey started with Chanel Cristalle in 1995, spraying it every time I went to one department store's fragrance counter. I got my first bottle in 1999 when I started college as a gift from a boyfriend. Thirty years later and I have the Chanel classics and five Exclusifs, always a bottle of Cristalle, N5 (currently the l'eau version), and Coco Mademoiselle. I've expanded to Guerlain, more designers, and niche, but Chanel will always be my number one.”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“My friend once told me that my fragrance smelled familiar, but he couldn't place it. Took a sniff of the bottle and exclaimed, "This is what my mom wears!" Wouldn't have been weird if he hadn't been hitting on me, which I didn't realize at the time. It was Coco Mademoiselle EDP.”
Not rated (no clear sentiment) Everyday“It's/was my signature scent and my daughter requests that I spray her stuffed rabbit with it when I'm away overnight. To her it's the most comforting scent there is 💕 I lean more into Guerlain now, but Coco Mademoiselle will ALWAYS be on my vanity.”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“In the 90's it was ck1 and Clinique happy, somehow she took a hard left when coco mademoiselle came out and stuck with it since, she passed away in march, I have her bottle and picked up the other 2 just recently.”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“I've tried and bought so many Chanel perfumes, but of all the three you mentioned, I think Coco Mademoiselle smells the most luxurious. I wear the original eau de parfum, but you might find the Intense version easier to wear.”
Not rated (no clear sentiment) ComplimentsFormal“I had this years ago. I used to wear Coco Mademoiselle and hardly ever received a compliment on it. Then I got a dupe of it (Miss Tutu by Milton Lloyd) for every use so I could save my Chanel one for special occasions. When I wore the dupe I started getting compliments, even from strangers (I'd never had before compliments from strangers before). It really caught me off guard, especially as an introvert 🙈😅”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“Uhh I use Coco Mademoiselle too. I also receive less compliments then from a dupe I got somewhere abroad. 😅😅 Maybe because I spray a lot more when I use the dupe”
Not rated (no clear sentiment) SummerWinter“Yes this is definitely going to just be a general fragrance for all seasons going forward, for events and whenever I want to feel a bit fancy and put together. I hardly got to wear it this summer anyway so I'm looking forward to wearing it more in autumn and winter. As in you've never used or even tested any other perfume but Coco Mademoiselle? Wow that's the definition of having a signature! Are you tempted to try the new flanker?”
Not rated (no clear sentiment)“Just what I ordered 😅 so I didn't get lucky, but hey, at least the sample was included! So I received the coco mademoiselle body lotion and the crush absolu sample”
