“for example - if the mood calls for a non-(bakery)gourmand vanilla - in fall/winter i tend to reach more for mon guerlain intense, cuir beluga, burberry goddess.”

“I will definitely smell this in store, but I can't really imagine wanting to wear those notes. I don't like the smell of lavender and it gives me a headache if it's strong. I grew up in NH and also going to my Dad's aunt & uncle's farm in VT to have fresh made maple syrup on snow in the winters. I admit to be being a maple syrup snob, and I love the good stuff on the right foods. I don't want to smell like it though. I think I'm one of the few people who doesn't love the original Burberry Goddess though. I don't hate it, but I never reach for it. I blind bought it and wish I hadn't.”

“Ugh, I have a similar gripe with Burberry Goddess. My favorite version when I sniffed them all at Ulta was the Parfum with a raspberry note but the bottles all look the same for the flankers it's so annoying.”

“But YSL Libre and all it's flankers and Burberry Goddess are scrubbers for me. And even then I have to be honest and say neither Mon Guerlain or Embrace reminds me of dried lavender or when I rub fresh lavender between my fingers.”

4/5 SweetnessMass appeal

“It's a Burberry Goddess day for me today. I just love how the lavender rounds out the top and then it slowly settles into a sweet but not too sweet vanilla. I've hated a few of the ones I tested lately (SDJ Cheirosa 91 and By Kilian Rolling in Love most strongly) so I want something safe that I know I love today. I'll get back to testing the new samples I have to try in a few days. I got the Phlur discovery set for my birthday and I'm looking forward to trying Father Figure.”

3/5 Everyday

“Burberry Goddess. Received the big bottle as a gift. Hated the lavender & ginger at the top, but I was on the jury for a murder trial and didn't want to ruin something I loved by association, so I wore Goddess every day for six months. I ended up loving it as a comfort fragrance. 🤷‍♀️”

4/5 ComplimentsSynthetic / harsh

“Honestly Burberry Goddess. That perfume is raved about everywhere as the perfect vanilla, a total compliment getter that I blind bought it and I was horrified at it. I tried so hard to like it but to me it just smells super synthetic almost plasticky like what the vanilla flavorings for a cake smell like. I'm still searching for a great Vanilla”

4/5 Longevity

“I got the Salt Water Vanilla body spray and body butter recently. First impression: this is **not** a vanilla ice cream scent at all. 😅 It actually leans woody and reminds me a lot of Burberry Goddess. It has that warm, slightly spicy vanilla vibe, even though there aren't any ginger or lavender notes listed. It definitely surprised me at first, but it's grown on me. It's also got pretty good longevity for body care. If you're expecting a super gourmand vanilla, this probably isn't it. But if you like Burberry Goddess or warm woody vanillas, I think you'll probably enjoy it.”

“It's so good. It was my first ever Lattafa fragrance and I was so happily shocked by how lovely it was. I'm almost done with my bottle and I think I'm going to get another one when it's finished even though my bottles of Burberry Goddess and Mon Guerlain are still full and waiting for me to show them some love again 😂”

I would make a whole post on these alone hahah. Out of my samples I've tried, Cloud Essence and Sunset Hour are *easily* my faves so far! I'm still waiting to try Fire at Will, Eau Duelle, and a handful of others though, so that may change (:”

“I have a decant of both the EDP and intense versions of Her. I prefer the EDP because it's brighter.l, but I know other people prefer the intense be clause it's more of a creamy strawberry floral. I think Goddess is ok, but B&BW has a fragrance called Moonlit Goddess, which I think is a nod to Burberry Goddess, which is also lavender and vanilla but adds a pear note and it's so so good.”

5/5 Fall

“I recently bought Angham and was blown away by it. I love the initial strong blast of lavender, followed by the exquisite vanilla that then develops and dominates. It's unlike any of the many other vanillas in my collection. And the intensity is something I've really been craving in fragrances of late, especially heading into autumn. I enjoyed my sample of Burberry Goddess, but it felt too light and fleeting. Angham is like Goddess on steroids and I'm seriously digging it. One of my top blind buys of the year and an absolute bargain to boot.”

4/5 Sweetness

“I tried Burberry Goddess at the beginning of my journey, though it was ok but far too sweet and feminine for me, I just couldn't see myself wearing it. I still had a decant and just sprayed it on some day after showing to use it up. When I put my sleep shirt on the next day I could still smell it and it was heavenly. Over the next few weeks I became obsessed with it, I believe it triggered my preference for warm, feminine scents!”

5/5 Summer

“Your bottle is so pretty!! And I think I was really hoping someone would convince me to keep it and give it a chance lol and that's such a good idea about the summer memory! I'm going to Hawaii in July maybe I should bring it. I've only tried Mon Guerlain on paper but I did like it and I love Burberry Goddess. That is definitely helping me to think this one will grow on me!”

“It is Sephora but it is still overpriced. Niche used to be 200-300. Not this 600 BS. So I would say Burberry Goddess. It is nice and I like it but it reminds me of a body spray I used to smell everywhere back in the 2010s”

“Burberry Goddess. Getting no lavender on me. Lasts over 8 hours on me with good whiffs. I get no lavender, but I do get vanilla paired with ginger in the opening, then with cacao (a scent which REALLY surprised me) and then it's just a really warm and creamy vanilla.”

“Normally, if the bottles have distinguishing features, I don't mind flankers at all. Burberry Goddess is egregious because all three bottles look exactly the same. I was just in Macy's yesterday and am only 90% sure I tested the Intense version.”

“Same here, I got a sample of what I thought was Burberry Goddess EAU de Parfum but it turned out to be the Parfum. Without the 'eau de'. At first I couldn't figure out why I was smelling leather. What didn't help is that the bottles look the same too!”

I am kicking myself however that I didn't get the Mon Guerlain that had a big red heart made out of roses. I was wearing Burberry Goddess that day and I just felt like they were too similar. “Oh boy, so I have this in my cart right now and was going to buy it next payday. I want it because the Bath and Body Works scent Moonlit Goddess is apparently a dupe for it, but now I'm nervous I might not have the right one. Does anyone by chance know exactly which Burberry Goddess the Moonlit Goddess is a dupe of?”
